After being on the road for several days on our family trip down to Pittsburgh, we were incredibly eager for some comforting, authentic Chinese food, and Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings completely hit the spot! The food quality is exceptional, and it offers great value for the generous portion sizes. We ordered a feast of their classic dishes: The Lucky Six Soup Dumplings and the signature Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings were the absolute highlights. The wrappers are perfectly thin, and the broth inside is rich and deeply flavorful. The Shanghai Stir-Fried Udon and Stir-Fried Rice Cakes with Shredded Pork had amazing "wok hei" and tasted just like home. We balanced the meal with the tender Sauteed String Beans with Garlic and a very comforting bowl of wonton soup. A 5-star experience across the board for food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommended if you are craving high-quality Shanghainese comfort food!

Classic ambience, decor, speedy service restaurant serving delicious soups, dumplings with soup Chinese cuisine! Service was very quick! However, they have no concept of serving soups and appetizer first and then the main course. We ordered everything at one go, with the assumption they will bring the soup and appetizers first. They got us our order from the main course first, then came the appetizers and one of the soups never came! All in all, great experience and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience of dining at Nan-Xiang!

Great experience and the food was delicious. We will be back. I highly recommend. All of the food was delicious and came out quickly. I had the beef stir fried Udon noodles and I will definitely be ordering it again when I visit next time. My family members had the original dumplings and they loved them. There is a lot of variety of dumplings to try.

Excellent, high quality food at fair prices with great service. Very clean and modern atmosphere. Pittsburgh desperately needed this restaurant. I was in disbelief that this was here just because of how starved this town is for a high-standard business. All six dishes ordered were delicious and visually appealing. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu but the pork dumplings in peanut sauce is a big crowd pleaser. I hope Nan Xiang is here to stay. A well-earned Michelin recommendation for sure.

Where do I start? These dumplings are incredible! Not sure why it took us so long to try this place out, but we loved it so much we went back the next day. Had it for the first time Friday January 2, 2026 and had such a great experience, we went back on Saturday the 3rd! I’ve dined in many places across the country and I’m not sure anything compares to these dumplings! The dough is fabulous and the soup is incredibly tasty. We’ve tried everything from pork buns, to pot stickers, to the soup dumplings, to noodles and nothing has disappointed. The truffle soup dumpling is by far my favorite and the scallion noodles were flawless. Service was excellent and we never felt like we needed anything. This is a 10/10 across the board and I highly recommend!
